My name is Shailee, I got LASIK eye surgery in 2019 here at Aurora LASIK. I had not gone to any other consults when I was looking into LASIK, Aurora was the first place that I came and I just love the atmosphere here and the people and the experience that I received. So when I woke the next morning after surgery I actually ran downstairs and opened up my window because I couldn’t see perviously without putting contacts in or wearing glasses. Um I opened up my window and I could read the writing on the dumpster across the parking lot and um it was kind of magical. It was sharper then contacts and glasses had ever been for me, the vision was just like I had looked through the perfect pair of glasses for the first time.
After getting LASIK the details and everything were so prominent. Trees before were like ya they are there, road signs I could kind of read them. Once I had LASIK done it was like I could see the fine details of everything, everything was so crips and clear and it just made the world more beautiful.
Getting LASIK was life changing for me in a lot of ways, but one of the most prominent ways for me is it actually jump started a new career. I was able to go into wedding photography after getting my vision corrected.
I’m so glad that I got LASIK, I would do it again and again if I had to. The advice I would give to someone who is on the edge of maybe getting LASIK maybe not and they are currently wearing glasses or contacts, I would tell them to jump. Its worth it. At the very least go get the consultation done, learn more about it, that’s what helped me decide, yes this is for me. Coming in and talking to the people at Aurora, they answer all of your questions and put you at ease. And again it’s a life changing experience to get done.
